You wrote the book. Now you need a website.

"In today's digital world, the onus is more and more upon the writer or poet to publicize and market the work than for the publisher to do it—so a website, blog, newsletter, is necessary regardless of the skills or inclination of the author. That's just the way it is. It's like requiring Picasso to be a gallery owner, museum curator, and publicist, as well as artist in his studio."

Bruce Parker

Author and Poet

You're an author.  You like creating beauty and excitement and passion with words.  And you want to spend your time WRITING.

In today's world, you also need to have a website to help let the world know about your work.  But you don't know much about how to make a website and you're not really interested in learning.

"Use WordPress," they said.  "It's easy!" they said.  Until you tried to install it and make everything work.  It is easy, if you want to spend the time setting it up.

Or use Wix/Squarespace/Weebly/other proprietary builder of the week.  That might work, but those interfaces aren't as easy as they make it sound.  How should this site be set up anyway?  And what about when you do grow out of needing a "basic" site and want something better?  You'll have to start over if all your information is in a proprietary system.

You can hire someone to create you a wonderful website worthy of your books.  But getting a quality website can cost more than you want to pay when you're just getting started.

Oh, and then you find out you have to keep everything updated, and backed up, and secure...

If you just need a basic, author-focused website to get you started, that's what Author Websites Made Easy is made for.  You can get a simple site with the items that are useful for authors - just plug in your own images, text, and colors.

For about the same monthly fee as you'd pay for one of those proprietary builders, you'll get a website created to showcase the things that are important for authors.  We take care of the updates, backups, and security.

And the site is based on WordPress (open source - the "WordPress.org" code), so when you want something better, or if you decide you prefer to host on your own, you can export the site and take it with you.
